One of my girlfriends invited me to the salon with her for manicures and pedicures this afternoon. I took the girls with me for their first manicures. Ryen was SO excited and did a wonderful job holding still and waiting for her nails to dry. Boy, has she come a long way! All of the practice she gets from forcing her daddy to paint her nails must be paying off! The woman next to us was getting sky blue finger nail polish- a bold choice. As soon as Ryen saw that, she insisted on bright blue nails. I showed her all of the colors hoping to sway her and she finally settled on an understated pink. I was shocked, but relieved. Madelyn picked a coral-pink that perfectly matched her outfit. I was pretty proud. She chose it all by herself! She did really well getting her nails done just like her big sister, but her favorite thing was playing with the little Maddie-sized fan. She sat there really well while I was getting my nails done, just basking in the breeze. She was so cute! Both of the girls had a riot. Afterwards, I took them out for lunch and then on our way home, we stopped at a huge field of dandelions. I know they are technically weeds, but I don't care. They were beautiful. (I'll post those pictures later.) I know I always say this, but I am so incredibly blessed. SO blessed. I love my girly girls.
