Ryen just LOVES getting into my make-up. She is completely fascinated by it and has been for quite a while now. I do my best to keep it out of her reach, but once in a while she is able to pull a fast one on me. This is her most recent self make-over. (I was actually pretty impressed that she got so much mascara on her eyelashes!) We do let her wear chapstick and nail polish, but it will be a long time before we allow her to wear make-up. Sonny and I had a real heart-to-heart with her about not rushing to grow up. We also talked to her about how beautiful she is without make-up and did our best to explain the concept of natural beauty to her. It was actually kind of neat to discuss that with our daughter. I found myself pleased by the opportunity to tell her about self-worth and appreciating the things God has blessed her with that are so special and beautiful. I hope she remembers that as she grows. I feel honored to always be here to remind her.
What a fun girl! Emma is interested in make-up too. I think that in a few years we'll probably have to have that same talk! Yikes, at least you can guide me through it ( ;
