This should have gone a couple of posts back because it happened on Friday and the other two were from today, but whatever. So on Friday morning we woke up to SNOW!!! The kids were so excited! Ryen's school was canceled and I felt like a child again myself. I love that feeling when you wake up and start thinking of all the things you have to do and then your school pops up on the television screen and you are FREE. :) The girls couldn't wait to put on their winter gear and get outside so they could do all of the things they had been thinking about and planning. Ryen and Maddie had a total blast charging through the snow while Ally wasn't such a fan. Poor girl. (I took her inside early and we watched her sisters play from the window. When I asked her if she wanted to go back out, she shook her head so hard I thought it would fall off! Ha!) After Ry and Maddie got good and cold, they came in and we all had hot chocolate. It snowed throughout the day- a big fat snowflake snow. There is something so snugly about days like these. Ryen and Madelyn went outside several times throughout the day and seemed to wander further and further from home each time. I love living here where they have so much to explore! We listened to lots of Christmas music and I baked pot pies for dinner. It was a lovely snow day and I ended it feeling completely perfectly happy. I'm filing it away in my mind so I can remember the good things about snow when I am still seeing it...in May! :)

You know for once, I'm not jealous! It's been cold here but not snowy and I'm already wishing for spring.
