Tooth Watch 2010

The mood around here can best be likened to the moment you step out of your car at Disney World...or perhaps Christmas Eve. After much waiting and anticipating, Ryen finally lost her first tooth. That thing was ready! At dinner we tried to talk Ryen into letting us pull it out, but she wouldn't have it. We kept working on her, the poor girl. :) When we were tucking her in and some flowers on her armoire moved "all by themselves" Ryen thought the Tooth Fairy was in her room watching. So, she took a deep breath and let her daddy yank that darn thing out. Oh my goodness, she was excited! Good grief- the squealing and screeching! We asked her if it hurt and she said it was a piece of cake. (I'm hoping that means the next one will be a little easier- for all of our sakes!) We are so excited for our little goofball. She is getting so old!

*Linds, this is for you:

By the way...the reference to a "gnome bar" is from some crazy story Sonny told the girls about "Pete the Gnome." Pete's little brother got a special treat for cheering for his big brother and for being so patient while waiting for his turn to lose a tooth. (Seeing this in black and white makes me realize, once again, that we are probably making our kids really weird.) :)

  2. Oh man, that is cute! She finally lost a tooth! I don't remember it being so exciting when I was young, but Emma is starting to imagine loose teeth her head. I just remember it being uncomfortable! Way to go Ry!

  3. You guys tell the coolest stories, you need to publish them and send them to me. Miss ya'll, I have been out of the blogging loop lately, and am glad to be back so I can read about your fun adventures!! Landen is totally jealous about the ice skating, he wants to be a hockey player so bad
