It's hard being the middle child. Poor Maddie struggles with that sometimes. She's almost never the first or the one calling the shots, but she isn't the baby either. I felt really strongly that she needed to be in charge of something. So, as we were getting ready to plant our gardens, I designated Madelyn our Chief Garden Girl. She makes all of the decisions on what goes where (...or at least she thinks she does...which is just as important) and is in charge of watering and tending to the plants. She already had a serious watering obsession so it was the perfect job for her! Since her promotion, she has seemed so much more cheerful and content. I'm so proud of our green-thumbed girlie.
She looks like such a princess in that outfit. Absolutely sweet. That's a good idea Meg about the garden.
ReplyDeleteBesides the obvious perks from your creative idea, you just might be encouraging some life long life skills. Who knows? She may major in horticulture or open the swankiest best floral shop in the world some day (Pretty Princess Posies)!!! You go girl!
