Ally's Room
Remember Ally's room? It was a dark green/brown color and decked out in historical costumes and furniture. It was so dark in there and cold feeling. I took out the racks that lined the room and switched the ugly ceiling fan for a chandelier from the Simply Shabby Chic line at Target. (It was a plug-in fixture, but we bought a pendant kit at Lowes and adjusted it.) For the walls, I chose a pink from Benjamin Moore. Since they were a bit more expensive, I expected their paint to be better, but Sonny and I both much preferred the Home Depot paint...just FYI. We still have to do another coat of white on the trim and I need to hang up some things, but you get the general idea.
