One activity on our List of Things to Do During Christmas Break was take the girls to a museum. We took them to the Grand Rapids museum...and it was awesome. I may have been there before as a child (I honestly can't remember) but I had no idea how much we'd all love it. Ryen is really into dinosaurs right now and was dying to see some dinosaur bones. We were careful not to promise anything, but were pleasantly surprised when we discovered a whole bone exhibit. Ryen's excitement was both endearing and hilarious. (I love the above photos of her!) They had so many fun things there- even though it's technically not a "children's museum." My favorite part was this whole huge area that was recreated to look like city streets around the turn of the century. You could look into all of the shops and everything was so lovely. Sigh. I think I should have been born then. I just wanted to make myself at home and stay there. :) Besides the bones and mummies, Ryen and Ally LOVED the carousel. Oh my- it was gorgeous! It was the most beautiful one I have ever seen. Ryen was all over that horse, riding it like a daredevil. Ally was just chilling out. Madelyn was terrified. We literally had to force her onto the horse, but she lightened up towards the end and even enjoyed herself. We had so much fun! I think we'll have to go again soon!

I heart that list. Plus that museum rocks!
